How to save money on your next Audi service

Audi servicing is now much cheaper, for those in the know.

Thanks to European legislation, you no longer have to be tied to high Audi service costs, dictated by your local dealer.

In October 2003 new European legislation affecting the motor industry came into force called "Block Exemption Regulation" 14002002 (BER), and this now means that you can book your next Audi car service online and save up to 50% on what you might pay at your local Audi dealer.

Before the law changed it was difficult to have new cars within their warranty period serviced outside a franchised dealer. If you wanted to shop around for the best prices on Audi servicing, your hands were tied.

The change in the law now gives every car owner the freedom to service their car away from the main dealers, and still have their warranty protected.

Thousands of Audi car owners have now taken advantage of their new right and reduced their Audi serving costs, whilst benefiting from the convenience of booking with national car service providers such as Service A Car.

Service A Car is a leading online car servicing network that prides itself on the quality of its Audi servicing, their customer service and transparent pricing. Because the company is not tied to any particular car manufacturer, they are able to service any make of vehicle and compete freely in the market, on a like-for-like.

Every vehicle is rigorously serviced according to the manufacturer's servicing schedule, using genuine recommended parts fitted by qualified technicians. This means that every Audi car service fulfils the warranty criteria and there is no compromise on the servicing standards of a main dealer.

Companies like Service A Car, who fulfil the warranty criteria when servicing your Audi, are able to maintain your service book, just as main dealer can - thereby protecting your warranty and helping you to maximise the resale value of your Audi car.

Of course, booking direct with a national car servicing network has its own advantages:

· You no longer have to do all the running around. Service A Car collects your Audi in the morning and delivers it back that afternoon, free of charge

· You pay a fixed Audi service price, which can be up to 50% below the price at the Audi servicing desk of your local dealer

· No additional work is carried out without your agreement, which means no nasty surprises when it comes to paying the bill

· Trained Customer Advisers are on hand throughout the day to keep you informed of progress, and report back on problems you asked to be investigated as part of your Audi service e.g. knocks and rattles

· Your Audi service includes a free wash and vacuum clean

· You simply pay with your credit or debit card and your car is delivered back to your home or work address.

Our advice for saving money on Audi car servicing is to contact a national car servicing network, who is not tied to any one particular car manufacturer, like Service A Car.

So, before you book your next Audi service, why not ask your local dealer to tell you the cost of the service (plus parts, oil and any extras) and then compare it with a fixed price quote from a national servicing network, like Service A Car?

Happy motoring,

Howard.

Why is my oil change so expensive? (Answers: 9) (Comments: 0)
My Audi A3 is approaching it's first birthday. I've only done 5,000 miles but thought it would be sensible to get the oil changed. I live half way between two dealerships, so contacted both to obtain a price. One quoted £135 and the other £173. I was expecting something like £35. Am I completely out of touch, or are they trying to rip me off? If I went to Kwik Fit instead, would that invalidate my Audi warranty? Thanks.

Audi for Acura...even trade-in? (Answers: 3) (Comments: 0)
I'm looking to trade-in my 2004 Audi TT 3.2L for a 2005 Acura TSX that is Acura Certified and still has factory warranty on it. Do you think this is a fair trade if no money is transacted? The Audi's warranty expired recently and it's making noises and squeaking here and there but still drives well and is in good condition. I can see future work required on the Audi in another year or so and it will cost and arm and a leg to repair. I'd really rather have a trouble-free car for the next 4-5 years. How likely is a dealership willing to trade a used car for another used car? Reasons for wanting the trade-in... Audi: 6 cyl vs. Acura: 4 cyl - save on gas Audi: 2 doors vs. Acura: 4 doors - easier to get in out + cheaper insurance Audi: warranty expired vs. Acura: factory warranty + Acura certified Audi: realistically a 2-seater vs. Acura: seats 4-5 comfortably

does car warranty covers wrong fueling which was my fault ? (Answers: 10) (Comments: 0)
I have an Audi A3 covered by Audi warranty (Germany). Stupid as it sounds, I've fueled the Diesel car with a regular fuel, and few minutes later I realized what I've done after the car stopped. I've called a road service which managed to drain the fuel tank , later I've fueled again with diesel and the car seemed to work fine. Few minutes later the car stopped again. I've called the Audi service center in Germany, since my car is still covered by the first two years' warranty, but haven't told them what really happened. My question is what should I do now ? if I would tell them would they still cover the damage, if not, will they be able to find that out and charge me ? Thank you.

Schumer Urges Inquiry of Companies Behind Bogus Auto Warranty Calls

11 May 2009 at 12:00am  Senator Charles E. Schumer has never struggled to find a reason to hold a news conference on a Sunday.
